About the winemaker and the Cmrečnjak family
The Cmrečnjak family nurtures a long-standing tradition of viticulture and cellaring.
The first family cellar dates back to as far back as 1884, and today it houses the family archive. ).
By constantly improving production and obtaining a certificate of geographical origin in 1992, the prerequisites for a more serious step forward into the market were acquired.
That year, the first bottled graševina with the label “Cmrečnjak” was launched and was well received by consumers.
In addition to the judgment of the market, the achievements of serious winemaking are also subject to the judgment and evaluations of the profession, and the Cmrečnjak family has regularly participated in numerous domestic and international evaluations since 1993, winning an enviable collection of medals and awards.
